BACKGROUND
The African Union Commission in May 2020 partnered with HP Inc. to expand digital learning opportunities for youth in the 55 AU Member States. It is against this backdrop that the African Union Commission and the HP Inc. will on the 21st November 2020 solidify the partnership at 3pm (EAT) by signing a Memorandum of Understanding in a virtual ceremony.
The comprehensive MoU is a framework of cooperation and understanding to facilitate collaboration between the African Union Commission and HP Inc. to advance quality education, entrepreneurship, and digital learning for the African Youth. The partnership with HP Inc. aims to accelerate the Commission’s education response to Covid-19 to ensure access and continued learning for African youth.
The partnership speaks directly to the 1 Million by 2021 Initiative by providing educational opportunities that will assist African youth to unleash their potential.
